Magnus Panek as student of the Argentine guitarrist Maria Luisa Anido
(1907-1993) is pupil in direct line to Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909),
the founder of the modern Spanish Guitar technique.

In Barcelona, he learned the foundation of his artistic play in parallel
with the study as soloist of the concert guitar at the University of Arts in Berlin with
Klaus-M. Krause and Carlo Domeniconi (Improvisation) between 1985 and 1990.

He perfected his knowledge at numerous master classes, especially with
the Scottish guitarist of world renown, David Russell.

He is laureate at the International Guitar Competitions in Osnabrück and Berlin.

Magnus Panek combines technical brilliance with highly expressive
interpretations. His musical construction is exceptionally rich in it  sound colours.
He is able, as formulated by Ruben Parejo Codina of the Conservatory in Valencia,
"to cause any guitar to sing.”
